One of my biggest blessings with starting The FlipFlop Tree is that I have had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people, from all over the globe. For this shoot, I met with Joei and Timmy, all the way from the Philippines! They were in South Africa on honeymoon and contacted me to do their photo shoot on Signal Hill, and then ending off on Camps Bay Beach. Signal Hill is one of the most picturesque parts of Cape Town, showcasing views of Table Mountain, Lions Head, Robben Island and The Cape Town Stadium. It always exceeds my expectations when I shoot there, and there is always this peaceful feeling being above Cape Town.
Joei and Timmy were so lovely to photograph, and I could tell doing the photos, just how close and connected they are. They adore each other and have spent many months traveling to different parts of the world together and having adventures. Joei wore a striking dress, which looked amazing with the backdrop of the mountains, blue sky, and lush green grass. We made it to Camps Bay for sunset, where they danced on the beach and below Lions Head. Joei is a lawyer, and also has her own blog www.joeiandme.com She blogs about travel, fashion, food, and beauty, and she has an incredible sense of style. I met up with them a couple of days after their shoot, where they were staying at The Marly Boutique Hotel in Camps Bay, to deliver their images. I hope to see them in The Phillippines some day!
