This was my 3rd photo shoot with Dagmar! The 1st having been with her daughters several years ago, the 2nd with her close friends, and then this one with her partner and her daughters. It is always lovely to see this dynamic and positive, family. They always bring such beautiful energy to their photo shoots and it really shows in the photos. We met up in Hout Bay an hour and a half before sunset and started off at the harbour, and then moved to the dunes and the beach. Dagmar and her daughters are very close, with the youngest living in Germany with her, and her eldest living in the UK. They really value their time together and having a photo shoot ensures they have memories to last a lifetime.
Hout Bay (or affectionately known as ‘The Republic of Hout Bay’) is nestled in a valley on the Atlantic Seaboard in Cape Town. The area hosts some lovely restaurants, and two of my favourites are ‘The Lookout Deck‘, which offers superb views, and ‘Mariners Wharf’. Head a little further down the road, and you’ll reach the charming, bustling Bay Harbour Market, open over the weekend. It offers live entertainment, great food and stores to browse and purchase some local arts and crafts. It’s definitely something to add to your holiday in Cape Town!
