It’s a beautiful Monday morning in Cape Town to blog about this wonderful, extended family. They are all dotted between Cape Town, Johannesburg and Australia. I photographed Christelle and Loren’s wedding at Babylonstoren several years ago, so it was so special to catch up with them again in Cape Town when they were here on holiday from Australia. Their adorable children are swamped with love, having two mothers, two fathers, and grandparents. We met up in upmarket Camps Bay and headed to Maidens Cove Beach for their family photo shoot. It was one of those mornings where there was enough cloud cover, and soft light to create stunning reflections. I love shooting real moments of love and interaction, and it was so easy with this amazing family, as they were all so warm and relaxed with one another.
Camps Bay is a fun and vibey area to visit if you’re in Cape Town, as it has ample restaurants, cafe’s and coffee shops, and the beach just across the street. The views are also spectacular with the massive boulders, crystal ocean and Twelve Apostles mountain range. Whether you’re a family in South Africa on holiday, travelling solo, with a group of friends, or with your partner, why not book a fun photo shoot, and have printed memories, long after your vacation has ended.
